Central Province players to be facilitated

Central Province players, who did well at the recently concluded 41st National Sports Festival, will be facilitated by the Governor of the Central Province Surangi Ellawela at the Auditorium of the Provincial Council, Pallekele today (23 December) at 9 a.m.

Winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in individual events and team events will receive both cash prizes and certificates. The Central Province, at this National Sports Festival, ended second to the Western Province. They won 47 Gold medals.

Special rewards will be also given to those sportsmen and sportswomen who were adjudged to be the Best Players at this event. Both men’s and women’s outfits from the Central Province won their respective hockey events.
