Championships galore for Kanrich Finance, at the Annual Mercantile Athletic Meet

At the Annual Mercantile Athletic meet held recently, at the Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Sports Grounds, the Athletic Team of Kanrich Finance succeeded in bagging a whole series of victories.

A special highlight of the Athletic Meet was the exceptional success recorded by Lakmal Wekadapola representing Kanrich Finance who won three gold medals participating in 5000M, 1500M, and 800M events.

Representing Kanrich Finance,Thivanka Rathnayake, won Gold medal at the 200M event and Silver at the 100M event. With this outstanding effort, he was able to elevate Kanrich Finance in the Medal winners’ Board.

Participating in the 4X100 Relay event, the Kanrich Finance team that included Rumesh Premathilake, Asela Weerasekara, Sajith Piumal, and Namal Rajakaruna won the Bronze at a keen contest.

The Mercantile Athletic Meet, held with the participation of a series of leading companies in Sri Lanka is organised by the Mercantile Athletic Association of Sri Lanka. This was their 32nd meet.
