Chetties sports day on Sunday

The annual sport day of the Colombo Chetty Association will be held at the P. Saravanamuttu International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, 2 June 2013, at 9:30 a.m. It will be a family day of competition, fellowship and fun.

The day’s events includes six-a-side cricket tournament for men, ladies and children (under 14), netball tournament for ladies, tug-a-war competition for men and several other indoor games and competitions. The cricket and netball tournaments are open only to the members of the Colombo Chetty Community. As in the past teams from the Western; North Western and Southern Provinces are expected to take part in the tournament

The sport day is a very popular event in the association’s calendar. A live band will be in attendance throughout the day. Tickets are priced at Rs. 150 per head, while lunch tickets are available at Rs. 300 per head.
