Chila retires from Rugby

76Former Chilaw Marians player, Sri Lanka prop forward and Kandy SC dynamic player, Tuan Kishor Jahan (Chila) retired from rugby football at the end of the Inter Club League rugby tournament against CH & FC where he led the up country outfit. His club career which lasted for more than 15 years came to an end and he is likely take up coaching at a leading school in Kandy. 

The iron man, Kishore better known as “Chila” was identified first by former Sri Lankan rugby legend Hisham Abdeen at the 2001-2002 Development squad. Later on Chila started his rugby career in club playing for the Old Zahirian Sports Club (2002-2005) and since then for the past decade he represented Kandy SC. 

He made his national debut for Sri Lanka against Singapore in 2005. Later on represented the National Team at the 2007 Rugby Asiad, 2010 and 2013 Asian Five Nation top Division and Asian five Nations  Division I in 2009, 2012 and 2015.
