Chrishen Warnasuriya bags U10 Best Bowler and Emerging Player at SSC Cricket Carnival

Young Thomian and SSC U10 Captain, nine-year-old Chrishen Warnasuriya bagged two awards, Best Bowler (for the second consecutive year) and Emerging Player R at the SSC Cricket Carnival awards ceremony concluded at Maitland plc recently.

At the final worked off in April, as captain of the cubs (team 1) he was "all heart" as he tried to salvage a losing game, by spinning a web around the bamboozled batsmen taking his first five wicket haul, picking up three scalps in the very first over of the game; coupling his left-arm Chinaman with the orthodox and a faster straight ball. 

He also captained the SSC U10 team in a game against a visiting CCC team worked off during the same time.
