The second round of the club rugby league will commence on 29 December with a game between last-placed CH&FC and first-placed Havelocks being played at the racecourse rugby grounds.
Currently, Havelocks are leading followed by Navy, Kandy and CR. Defending champions Kandy are poised for a comeback in the second round in order to keep the title at their clubhouse in Nittawela.
On the following day there will be two games played in Colombo. In the first game Police will host Navy while in the second encounter Air Force will welcome CR&FC in Ratmalana.
The last game of the first week will be in Kandy where Army play the home team Kandy in Nittawela. Soon after the completion of the league in mid-February the Clifford Cup Knockout Championship will commence and the season will come to an end in late February, giving more than a month’s preparation for the Asian Rugby Championship Division I in Malaysia.
