CMEC gets into Mercantile Cricket

The under 13 and under 15 Inter Academy Cricket Tournament 2014 organised by the Mercantile Cricket Association which officially commenced on 9 August, has as its main sponsor the China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) the construction company of the Lakvijaya power plant in Norochcolai.

The fifteen day tournament will have 24 teams under 13 and 24 teams under 15 representing cricket academies who will battle for the Mercantile Cricket Trophy. The under 15 quarter finals will take place on 22 August at the Health grounds and Thurstan grounds. The under 13 quarters finals will take place on the same day at Prison Grounds Welikada and Sri JayawardanapuraKotte grounds. The semifinals of under 15 category will take place on 23 August at Mercantile Cricket Association ground. Under 13 semifinals will take place on the same day at Sri Jayawardanepura Kotte grounds. The finals will be on 24 August at Mercantile Cricket Association ground.
