CMSC to host FIA Asia Pacific Region Forum in April

The Ceylon Motor Sports Club, as part of its celebration of 80 years of Motor Sports is proud to announce that they will host the FIA Asia Pacific Region Forum in Negombo from 26 to 28 April. The event will be presided over by the President of the FIA Jean Todt, and is the first time there is an APR Forum being held in Sri Lanka.
The Asia Pacific Region Forum is an opportunity for member ASNs, of which the CMSC is the Sri Lankan ASN, to meet in a forum to discuss ways and means of cooperation and to discuss development of Motor Sport in the Asia Pacific Region.
The APR membership covers countries like Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Over 60 representatives from the region and the FIA have confirmed their attendance, including the President of the FIA Jean Todt. The forum will run over three full days at the Jetwing Blue, the host Hotel for the event.
Sri Lanka and the work of the CMSC will be showcased for its achievement in Marshal Training and exposure both in Sri Lanka and overseas. The Club has been involved in the marshalling at the FIA Formula 1 events in India, Singapore and Australia.
