Court prevents re-appointing Sri Lanka Cricket secretary

A Sri Lankan Court has issued an enjoining order preventing the reappointment of the present secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket for another term.

The Mount Lavinia District Court issued the order, preventing the re-appointment of the present Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga to Sri Lanka Cricket board as secretary.

The court also ordered the 22 individuals of the Executive Committee of SLC, including its President not to appoint, convene, or engage in any activities relating to Sri Lanka Cricket. The order will be effective until 18 April.

Ranatunga was the only candidate who handed over nominations for the secretary post when nominations were called last month to elect SLC officials.
