Central province Rugby Football Union (CPRFU) will conduct the Junior level at Under 13 and Under 14 rugby tournament at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium on 26 July with the kick off scheduled at 8 a.m.
Mayor of Kandy Mahendra Ratwatte, Governor Tikiri Kobekkaduwa and former Trinity ‘Lion’ from the champion 1987 side Lohan ratwatte will grace the occasion.
Speaking to Daily FT, Secretary of the CPRFU Gerald Rasaih said, “This is the start we will continue this every year. Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) supported us on this tournament which was a long overdue for the Central province school rugby players. These lads are going to represent their respective schools senior team in another 4-5 years.
Former Air force and Sri Lanka player and Secretary of the SLRFU Nalin De Silva and Treasurer Kiran Attapattu will attend this occasion.
