Sri Lanka Cricket said yesterday that the panel appointed by the Executive Committee interviewed four prospective candidates comprising three Sri Lankans and a foreigner today for the above post.
“Accordingly, two candidates namely Marvan Attapattu and Mark Davis have been shortlisted for the final interview to be held in due course. The date for the final interview is yet to be finalized,” SLC said in a brief statement.
Other contenders included Romesh Kaluwitharana, Ruwan Kalpage and Steve Rixon.
In early October SLC appointed a committee chaired by Ranjith Fernando and comprising Mohan de Silva, Nishantha Ranatunga, Nuski Mohamed, Sanath Jayasuriya, Ashley de Silva and Jerome Jayaratne to make recommendations on 11 applicants including eight foreigners.
