Defending Champions: Lyceum Nugegoda has secured title once again

Defending Champions Lyceum Nugegoda won the championship once again at the Inter International Schools Under 13 Cricket Tournament organised by Lyceum International School-Wattala.
Lyceum International School, Nugegoda defeated Leeds International School by 10 wickets in the Quarter Finals to reach Semi Finals and they have defeated Lyceum Ratnapura by eight wickets to reach Finals. They met Lyceum Wattala at the Finals held on 23 March at Lyceum International School-Wattala Ground. Lyceum Nugegoda captain won the toss and decided to bat first. Lyceum Nugegoda made 204/9 (Senura Fonseka 43, Jason Cruse 44, Lashawn De Mel 36) and Lyceum Wattala made only 97 in return leaving Lyceum Nugegoda 107 runs victory. Lyceum Nugegoda bowlers did extremely well at the Finals. Joshua Suppiah led the bowling attack by taking 3-31 and well contributed by Gaveshka Lakshan 2-14, Senura Fonseka 1-16 and Hemaka Gunasekara 1-21. Joshua Suppiah won the Man of the Match award together with Best Bawler’s award. Lashawn De Mel was awarded with Best Fielder of the tournament.
