DFCC beats Commercial Credit in 26th MSBA League Basketball Tournament

N. Terrence (22) came up with sterling performance for DFCC Bank, as they beat Commercial Credit & Finance, 54/46, after leading 26/18 at half time, in the Mens “A”, as the 26th MSBA League Basketball Tournament continued at the Henry Pedris Stadium and Otter AC Courts.

S. Tharindu (10) gave good support to Terence, while S. Clinton (15) and N. Thimothi (12) played a good game for Commercial Credit.

Men’s “B” division: Dialog Axiata gained their first win when they trounced SriLankan Airlines “A” – 58/36, after leading 30/21 at half time; W. Ravi (15) and M. Dhanushka (13) were outstanding for Dialog.

Women’s “B” division: Mobitel beat John Keells Group, 50/31, after leading 21/12 at half time; W. Gayani (23) and J. Dissanayake (11) were the top shooters for Mobitel; W. Asangi (18) and B. Binoli (10) scored for JK. 

Men’s “D” division: LOLC trounced SriLankan Airlines “B”, 63/26, after leading 31/14 at half time; H. Chathura (15) and E. Rajitha (15) were in splendid form for LOLC; R. Avishka (13) and T. Maleesha (10) scored for the Sri Lankans. 

Union Bank registered their 2nd successive win, with strong 2nd half over LOLC, 77/64, after the scores were dead-locked at 31-31 at the breather; S. Perera (21) and C. Shenal (18) were the match winning shooters for UB; I. Nazir (22) and H. Chathura (17) played a hard game for LOLC. 

Mens “E” division: Mobitel gained their 2nd win beating Abans Group, 55/38, after leading 34/13 at half time; J. Koshan (14) and P. Lahiru (12) top scored for Mobitel; B. Prabath (12) scored for Abans. 

Aitken Spence, too notched up their 2nd win, beating, UB Finance 43/26 after leading 26/13 at half time; V. Rathnada (16) and A. Wickramasinghe (10) top scored to Aitken Spence; G. Joy (13) scored for UBF. 

MillenniumIT trounced Airport & Aviation Services, 63/29 after running a huge 29/15 lead at half time; W. Akila (28) and T. Fazal (11) were in topping form for MIT; W. Silva (16) played a lone game for A&A.
