Dharmakeerthie to serve in two Asian continental wushu games

Manel Dharm-akeerthie, an Elite Panel International Wushu Judge, referee of the World Governing body of wushu, the International Wushu Federation [IWUF] and Technical Committee Member of Wushu Federation of Asia (WFA) has been invited once again to officiate in two major wushu events on the Asian continent.
He will serve as one of the seven members of the ‘Jury of Appeal’; the highest technical body of a wushu tournament, at the 07th Asian Junior Wushu Championships to be held from 5 to 12 August 2013 in Manila, Philippines and Sanda (Combat event of Wushu) judge and referee of the 6th East Asian Games to be held from 4 to 10 October in Tianjin, China.
Dharmakeerthie pioneered the Chinese martial art wushu in Sri Lanka and was elected President of the Wushu Federation of Sri Lanka (WFSL) last March. He is the current Secretary General of the South Asian Wushu Federation(SAWUF) too and is the most experienced Elite Panel International Wushu Judge and Referee in South Asia with judging credits at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, two Asian Games (2002 in Busan Korea; 2010 in Guangzhou, China), five Sanda World Cups (2002 in Shanghai,2004 in Guangzhou, 2006 in Xian ,2008 in Harbin, 2012 in Fujian in China), five World Wushu Championships (2001 in Yerevan, Armenia; 2005 in Hanoi, Vietnam; 2007 in Beijing, China; 2009 in Toronto, Canada and 2011 in Ankara, Turkey), one International World Games in Khaosiung in Taiwan in 2009 and numerous Asian continental championships and games.
