Former Trinity ruggerite Dharshana Munasinghe who played for his school in 1991 was elected as the President of the Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage for 2016/17 at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place in Colombo last week.
He takes over the leadership from the former CH&FC and Sri Lanka centre Rohan Abeykoon. Former rugby coloursman and basketball “Lion” Duminda De Silva was elected as one of the Vice Presidents. Former rugby player, Ryde Gold medalist and veteran Banker Asanka Ranhotty will once again be the Secretary of the Scrummage.
The Old Trinitians Rugby Scrummage (OTRS) is an organisation affiliated to the Old Boys Association of Trinity College, Kandy and manages rugby across all age groups at the school under the guidance of the principal. OTRS remains responsible in the areas of management, administration and coaching of rugby at Trinity.(SJ)
