The conclusive final leg of the Asia Rugby Sevens Series will kick off at the picturesque Racecourse Grounds in Colombo on 15 October, as 10 men’s and women’s teams from the Asian Rugby circuit will scrum down for supremacy over the two-day tournament powered by Dialog.
The final Sri Lanka leg of the Asia Rugby Sevens Series will be broadcast live on Dialog Television Channel number 1, and will also be available via live streaming at the ThePapare.com and the Dialog MyTV mobile app. Entrance will be free for the public. On 15 October the tournament will kick-off from 11.00 a.m. onwards, while the following day the matches will commence from 1.00 p.m. onwards.
Japan will defend its 7s title against some stiff opposition from Asian Rugby giants Hong Kong and Sri Lanka, while South Korea, Taiwan, China and the Philippines and others promise some scintillating action. The Tuskers are expected to make further inroads in Colombo after their spirited performance in Hong Kong and South Korea. At the last two legs, Sri Lanka emerged runners up after losing narrowly to a strong outfit from Hong Kong on both occasions.
