Dilan drives to victory at Pannala

Dilan Seneviratne got off to a flying start this season by winning the SL-H Cars up to 1600cc category comfortably driving his Honda SiR 1600.

Seneviratne who took to Motor racing a few years ago has shown great potential to be one of the best drivers in the country.

Dilan who ended 2011 on high by winning most of the races he took part in including the prestige’s Colombo Night Race has kept his sponsors, Mobil flag flying high. Mobil will be looking forward to a great year of racing with Seneviratne as he has stamped his dominating performance already in 2012 by winning the Speed Championship round 1.

This victory was special for him and his sponsor Mobil as he recorded the fastest time in the SL-H 1600 class on the previous day clocking a time of 1.03.4 to gain pole position & record one of the fastest times ever in this class.

On race day, Dilan who made good use of his pole position went on to out drive all the leading drivers in this Class and assured his sponsor Mobil that he is ready to deliver the results in his first season with them.

Mobil was proud of Dilan’s performance and said they expect many victories in 2012 from him. Meanwhile Dilan himself said that he hopes to carry on with his good form & gave credit to ‘Mobil’ a world renown Lubricant and its Agent in Sri Lanka McLarens Group of Companies for the support extended to him.
