Edna wins fifth annual ‘Eagle 6’s’

Eagle Logistics Colombo completed the fifth Annual Cricket Encounter ‘Eagle 6’s’ on 13 October 2012 at the NCC grounds, awarding the challenge trophy to the champions, the Edna group of companies.

42 teams of top corporate customers participated for this trophy this year. The teams were Loadstar, Hants, Daxholdings, PanAudio, CWMackie, CeylonOxigen, Softlogic, Reebonn, Coca Cola,  Nestle, Abans, Winterquilts, Antler, Hemas, AMW, DPSLanka, MalibanTextiles, Dialog, Voguetex, Hands Int., Suzuki Lanka, Stafford Motors, ODEL, Naturub, Nitmo, Hunters, Industrial Clothing, Textile Int., Fentons, Screenline, Iceman, AquaTechnologies, Kramski, ETAL, EDNA, BobbinWheelworks, Technomedics, A&F Holdings and Bio Foods.

Iceman Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd. and the Edna group faced each other in the final and the EDNA group set up a target of 116 runs and managed to hold Iceman for 94 runs in their full five overs.  Eagle Logistics Managing Director Asanga Weerackody addressing the award ceremony thanked all their customers for participating in the event and for the interest shown in Eagle cricket.

The Chief Guest at the event was Sri Lankan entrepreneur and the Founder/CEO of ODEL Otara Gunewardene.
