Elephant House adds to the cheer at 135th ‘Battle of the Blues’

Continuing to support Sri Lanka’s legendary school cricket encounter, Elephant House announced its partnership with the 135th Royal Thomian Cricket Match 2014. Fans would be able to treat themselves to the country’s most cherished beverages and ice creams from Elephant house at the tournament to be held at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) grounds from 13 to 15 March. “As the country’s most youthful and loved brands, we are proud to be the F&B sponsor for this year’s Battle of the Blues. Having worked with this iconic tournament for over two decades, we wish both teams the very best and look forward to adding to the festive spirit with our beverages and ice creams at the event,” said Daminda Gamlath, Vice President – John Keells Holdings and Head of Beverages – Elephant House. Being one the most looked forward to cricketing encounters in the country, Sri Lankans from far and near descend on the SSC every year to meet friends and root for their favourite team. For the first time in the history of the Royal-Thomian encounter, a special logo has been created for the tournament and a gold coin will be used for the toss this year.
