The Isipathana College rugby team stands with its new sponsor Entrust Premier local financial institution, the Entrust Group, broadened its support for Sri Lankan rugby by becoming school rugby juggernauts Isipathana College’s exclusive sponsor. The partnership will result in the defending triple champions sporting a corporate sponsorship logo on their jerseys for the first time in their storied rugby history. The sponsorship also represents an official endorsement by a proven financial entity, auguring well for Isipathana’s future on-field endeavours. “This is a fantastic opportunity for us, as a dynamic corporate leader, to join hands with a team of vibrant sportsmen. We believe that our partnership can only strengthen our belief that greatness comes in any arena,” said Entrust Group Chairman Isira Dassanayake. Senior Vice President of the Isipathana College Old Boys’ Association Hassan Sinhawansa echoed these sentiments when he touched on the significance of the freshly-forged union. “I wholeheartedly thank the Entrust Group for coming forward to sponsor Isipathana. The Entrust Group, which is a major player in the finance industry, has merged with Isipathana to continue hand-in-hand for a long period. So I think like the way Entrust supported Police in club rugby and they came all the way to the finals, I’m sure Isipathana will crown themselves school champions in 2015 with this sponsorship,” he stated. Presently Isipathana remain unbeaten in the ongoing school rugby league and look poised for a strong finish to their campaign under the inspired leadership of No.8 Omalka Gunarathne.
