ERI, CLPL principal Sponsors of Gunner Supercross for the second consecutive year

Environmental Resources Investment PLC (ERI) and Ceylon Leather Products PLC are the main sponsors of the Gunner Supercross 2011 to be held at the Artillery Complex in Minneriya. This is the second time that ERI together with CLPL is sponsoring this mega sporting event.   

One of the most popular motor sporting events in Sri Lanka, the Gunner Supercross is organized by the Regiment of Artillery – popularly known as “Gunners” together with Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders for the 6th consecutive year on Sunday the 10th of July 2011.

The event is organized for a worthy cause as the proceeds of the event will be utilized for the welfare of the disabled soldiers and for the families of the valiant soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice to protect the motherland.

Construction of houses, renovation of soldier’s quarters and the welfare of the Thamankaduwa region are some of the other welfare projects planned which will benefit from the event.

We are confident that the welfare projects enabled by this endeavor will benefit the families of the soldiers whose service to the nation is priceless” said Lalith Heengama – Chairman, ERI.
