ERI sponsors West Indies tour of Sri Lanka

Environmental Resources Investment PLC (ERI) – the reputed investment holding company — together with two of its subsidiaries, Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC and Ceylon Leather Products PLC  is sponsoring  the upcoming West Indies cricket series in Sri Lanka which is  scheduled to commence on 15th of November 2010.  

The series comprising  of three test matches, five ODIs (One Day International) and one T20 begins with the inaugural test match at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.

“We (ERI) are delighted to sponsor the West Indies tour of Sri Lanka and showcase ERI and its subsidiaries to cricket fans all over the world. We (ERI) are fortunate to be given the opportunity to associate ourselves with Sri Lanka Cricket and look forward to a long standing relationship with Sri Lanka Cricket and Ten Sports” said Lalith Heengama, Chairman -  ERI.

The trophies for the series are exquisitely crafted in porcelain and plated in 24-carat gold and platinum which is the first porcelain cricket trophy.  The trophy was made  by Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, a subsidiary of ERI.

“We are happy that a premier  company of the stature of Environmental Resources Investment PLC has come forward to sponsor this exciting series which has come at a time when Sri Lanka has claimed the second place in ICC ODI ranking” said Nishantha Ranatunga, Secretary - Sri Lanka Cricket.
