ESOFT sponsors Peterite Walk 2017

ESOFT was the Gold Sponsor of the colourful Peterite Walk 2017 at St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya held recently. The walk which drew in strong participation from students, parents and old boys of the school was held to raise funds for expansion and new facilities at St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya including modern computer labs, smart classrooms and a state-of-the-art hall. In addition to a sponsorship of Rs. 1 million, ESOFT also donated two projectors for the upgraded school hall.

Sharing his views on the sponsorship, ESOFT Group Managing Director Dr. Dayan Rajapakse stated that both Rector of St. Peter’s College, Rev. Fr. Trevor Martin and himself shared a common dream of empowering young people with access to the latest in modern ICT technology in order to help them learn how to take the country to the next stage of growth. “I was very pleased to hear of the college’s vision of developing smart classrooms to instil an appreciation for IT at young age and enhance the learning experience for students. As the pioneer IT education provider in Sri Lanka, ESOFT was very happy to contribute to this endeavour and partner with a leading academic establishment such as St. Peter’s College as they celebrate their 95th year,” he commented.
