‘Exclusively Golf’ monthly magazine to be launched

The first ever ‘Exclusively Golf’ monthly magazine is scheduled to be launched on 23 August 2013, coinciding with the 126th Amateur Championship of Sri Lanka to be played at the Victoria Golf and Country Club Course in Digana from 19 to 23 August 2013. The publication is under the franchise of GolfPlus Monthly, India – the foremost golf magazine in India under the patronage of the PGTI.
The August issue of the GolfPlus Monthly Sri Lanka will feature an exclusive interview with Ana Punchihewa, the Honorary Secretary of the Sri Lanka Golf Union, the governing body for golf in Sri Lanka.
GolfPlus Monthly Sri Lanka is partnering the SLGU as the Official Golf Publication to promote the game and develop the sport in keeping with the vision of the SLGU to be the ‘Making Sri Lanka the best Golfing Centre of Excellence in Asia by the Year 2020’.
The Honorary Secretary of the Sri Lanka Golf Union, Ana Punchihewa was the President of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board when Sri Lanka won the Cricket World Cup in 1996 in Lahore, Pakistan.
The GolfPlus Monthly Sri Lanka August issue will feature the History of Golf, Ceylon Golf History, The Sri Lanka Amateur Championship story up to the 126th Championship including International Golf news. The magazine will also have a Golf Clinic 360° comprising a comprehensive understanding on the game of Golf to beginners with the basic lessons on how to start playing Golf; ‘The Golf Clinic’ 360° will also offer advice and guidance to Golfers.
