Exide powers Gunner Supercross 2014

Monday, July 28, 2014, Colombo: For the fifth consecutive year, Exide, the No.1 battery in Sri Lanka, will power the Gunner Supercross 2014, as its Official Battery Partner. Scheduled to be held on the 3rd of August this year in the Thamankaduwa Region – Artillery track in Minneriya, the Gunner Supercross will feature over 120 leading racing drivers and riders. This prime motorsport event, now on its 9th year, is organized by the Regiment of Artillery in association with the Sri Lanka Autosports Drivers’ Association (SLADA), and will be held at a uniquely constructed gravel track. This year too, Exide’s fully equipped motor racing team will compete in the Gunner Supercross. The Cavalry Supercross held last month, saw Team Exide perform exceptionally well, walking away with 7 awards including the event’s rider championship title. Team Exide comprises Aravinda Premadasa, Rohitha Rajapaksa, Shehan C. Adikari, Lahiru Jeewantha, Sampath Kumara, Chaminda Weerasuriya, Evon B. Gurusinghe, Mahen Madugalla and K. Parameshwaran.
