EZY Wolves, the official rugby franchise of EZY Corporation, is currently preparing for the second leg of the Sri Lanka Rugby Super 7’s 2017 to be held in Colombo after becoming Bowl Champions during the first leg held in Kandy last weekend.
The team comprises of local and international players, namely greats such as Sudarshana Muthuthanthri, the EZY Wolves skipper and Andrew Amonde, who is the current Kenyan 7’s captain who played key roles in spearheading the Cubs Camp.
As part of the EZY Wolves ethos to support the next generation of sportsmen, the franchise invited over 70 students from the under 12 category across St. Joseph’s College, St. Peter’s College, Thurstan College and S. Thomas’s College to be part of the EZY Wolves Cubs Rugby Camp at the Racecourse Grounds.
This initiative was organised to make efforts to develop a younger generation of ruggerites in Sri Lanka while equipping the teams with the necessary skills required for ball handling, contact and ball placements and possession.
The day’s proceedings continued with warm up sessions and drills and the team sharing some of their experiences on field.
