IN-3JAT Holdings, Sri Lanka’s premier organisation in the furnishing and finishing industry boasting an impressive portfolio of products, has reiterated its firm commitment to the support and upliftment of sport in Sri Lanka by being the sole sponsor of the tennis coaching camp under the purview of famed coach Nick Bollettieri, from 22-24 January at the Queen’s Club in Colombo.

Considered to be among the world’s most sought after tennis coaches, Bollettieri is an American trainer who has produced 10 of the world’s most successful tennis players, all of whom were ranked number 1 in the world, such as Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Maria Sharapova, Venus and Serena Williams, Martina Hingis, Jim Courier and Kei Nishikori to name a few.

The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (NBTA), which he set up in Brandenton, has transformed the landscape of tennis by incorporating a level of professionalism that has raised the bar of competition in the sport. As the head of IMG, America’s foremost academy of sport, with campuses specialising in golf, athletics, soccer, baseball, basketball, American football and tennis, Bollettieri is certain to impart invaluable expertise during the coaching camp.  Bollettieri is expected to train national players as well as junior players with a view to raise Sri Lanka’s tennis standards to international levels.

“We are proud to sponsor this event, which is organised by the Queen’s Club in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) to support Sri Lankan tennis players. We have pledged to improve the standards of sport across Sri Lanka and have already sponsored other sporting events such as cricket, golf and hockey competitions by supporting sporting events at both the local and international level,” stated JAT Holdings Managing Director Aelian Gunawardene.

Commenting on this historic event, Queen’s Tennis Convener Asanga Senevirathna said: “The Queen’s Club is honoured and privileged to have Nick Bollettieri, the tennis legend, collaborate on this event. Over a 100 players will be given the opportunity to be trained by him and I have no doubt that the benefits of this venture will be seen in the future.”
