First-ever Pakistan National Day Golf Tournament 2014

The first ever Pakistan National Day Golf Tournament was held at Royal Colombo Golf Club on 22 March 2014 in which prominent Sri Lankan golfers and members of the diplomatic community took part. It was an 18-hole tournament in which players competed for exciting prizes, both in Gentlemen and Ladies categories.
A golf dinner and prize giving ceremony for the tournament was held on the same evening at Colombo Courtyard. High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) Qasim Qureshi gave away the prizes. Prize winners in the ladies category were Roshani Sangani and Louise Parson, while in the men’s category they were K.L. Illango and S. Subramaniam.
Novelty prizes were won by Kris Krisnaraja, P. Kumaran, V.T. Sundaralingam, Firaz Hameed and B.K. Jun.
The High Commissioner appreciated the cooperation and support extended by the Royal Golf Club Colombo, Sponsors and the Organising Committee.
The event was co-sponsored by leading Pakistani business groups Habib Bank Ltd. and Imperial Builders.
