St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy scored a convincing first innings win over Moratuwa Vidyalaya in their inter-school Under 19 cricket encounter, which concluded at the Pallekelle International Stadium yesterday.
In reply to the Kandy school’s score of 216, Moratuwa Vidyalaya could only manage 92 in their first innings, batting for 72 overs. Following on in the second innings once again, Moratuwa Vidyalaya played very defensive, scoring 68 for the loss of one wicket and batting for another 45 overs.
