The four groups have been announced for next month’s Monaco rugby Sevens which will take place on 18 and 19 June at the Stadium Louis II of Monaco.
The winner of this tournament in the Men’s segment will fill the final berth at Rio rugby Sevens August 2016 in Brazil.
This competition will gather from 16 nations namely Germany, Canada, Chile, South Korea, Spain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Morocco, Mexico, Russia, Samoa, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Tunisia, Uruguay, Zimbabwe battling it out for a single qualification for 2016 Summer Olympics which will be at stake.
Sri Lanka rugby national selectors headed by Michael Jayasekera will select the sevens pool this week. Sri Lanka will be in Pool B along with Canada, Germany and Uruguay. Meanwhile the other two teams namely South Korea and Hong Kong will be in Pool D along with Spain and Mexico
Pool A- Samoa, Zimbabwe, Tonga, Ireland
Pool B-Canada, Germany, Uruguay, Sri Lanka
Pool C-Russia, Chile, Morocco, Tunisia
Pool D- Hong Kong, Spain, Mexico, South Korea
