Fouzul Hameed re-elected President of Zahira College OBA

Fouzul Hameed was re-elected unanimously as President of the Zahira College Old Boys’ Association at the 94th Annual General Meeting held recently at the Desamanya M.T.A. Furkhan Hall.

Addressing the members after being elected, Fouzul Hameed thanked them for the continuous confidence placed on him to lead the organisation. He said although he announced that he would step down at the previous AGM and a suitable successor should be found, his team did not want him to do so being the 100th year of the existence of the OBA and that he would really appreciate a new president at the next AGM. He further said, “I invite all Old boys of the college to rally round the association in celebrating its centenary. The OBA has contributed immensely towards the development of the college in taking it to greater heights and we want to continue the momentum. In this regard, we have lined up many programs during the year and support of all old boys is vital in achieving the objectives.” The following office bearers and committee members were declared elected unanimously at the AGM: Patron: Desamanya Prof. M.T.A.
