Galadari Inter-Department 6 A Side Cricket Tournament

It was a an unforgettable day on 5 December at the Malay Grounds, Colombo 2 as the Galadari Hotel celebrated its annual Inter-Department 6 A Side Cricket Tournament 2015. All the main departments got together for the 6 A Side match which was filled with fun, excitement and much laughter.

The Champions were the Food and Beverage Department ‘A Team’ whilst the Accounts Department ‘A Team’ secured the Runners Up position. In addition to this a 5 Overs Executive 6 A Side Exhibition Cricket Match and a 5 Overs Female 6 A Side Exhibition Cricket Match were also played further adding on spice to the day.

Other winners included Best Bowler – P.K.M.D. Heshan of Food and Beverage, Best Batsman – C.J. Jayasinghe of Accounts and Man of the Final and Man of the Series awards were both bagged by D.P.N.D. Disanayake – Food and Beverage Department. Housekeeping won the Best Dressed Team.

Keeping up the spirit of the game: being to win or lose it is all about enjoying the sport the title Best Loser was awarded to the Kitchen Stewarding Department. The evening ended with a couple dancing competition and much rejoicing.
