Hameedia Partners Sri Lanka Tennis as Official Clothing Sponsor of SLTA

Continuously setting the benchmark in the fashion industry, Hameedia, Sri Lanka’s leading menswear specialist has partnered with Sri Lanka Tennis as the official clothing sponsor of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA).
Hameedia will provide clothing for three SLTA events a year from June 2014 to May 2015. Hameedia will also provide SLTA with clothing for the organisation and playing kits for tennis players participating in the Davis Cup, the Federation Cup and all wheelchair tournaments.
Commenting on the partnership with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association, Hameedia Managing Director Fouzul Hameed stated: “Hameedia is honoured to be associated with Sri Lanka Tennis and we look forward to supporting our national tennis players who represent Sri Lanka around the world. Every member of each tennis team is a unique brand ambassador for Sri Lanka and Hameedia. During our sponsorship period, I will personally train the players on the intricacies of etiquette and the diverse demands of total grooming. Hameedia has a very strong local and international track record and has been impacting fashion in the country and abroad for decades.”
The Sri Lanka Tennis Association envisions Sri Lanka becoming one of the top three tennis playing nations in Asia. SLTA is dedicated to promoting Sri Lanka Tennis throughout the country and popularizing tennis as a professional sport as well as part of a healthy lifestyle. The association strives to develop tennis professionals in the country while working towards building a sustainable talent pool of players. SLTA specifically targets Sri Lankan youth in schools, who are the next generation of world class tennis players.
Highlighting the importance of the partnership with Hameedia, Iqbal Bin Issack, President, Sri Lanka Tennis Association stated: “It is a special day for Sri Lanka Tennis as we enter into a partnership with the Hameedia Group. This sponsorship will enhance the brand images of both Hameedia and Sri Lanka Tennis, when proud Sri Lankan tennis players represent our country under the theme of ‘one nation, one passion’.”
Hameedia is also the official formal clothing partner of Sri Lanka Cricket and dresses the national cricket team.
