Head Office Team emerge winners of People’s Bank Chairman’s Trophy cricket tournament

People’s Bank Chairman’s Trophy, an Inter-Provincial, six-a-side, leather ball cricket tournament organised by the People’s Bank Sports Club was recently held at NSCA grounds in Ratmalana. Defending champs, The Head Office Team emerged victorious for the second consecutive year. 

Out of the 11 Provincial teams competing, the West Zonal 1 Team emerged runners-up whilst 3rd place was secured by the Central Province Team. Tharindu Chandrasiri from Southern Province won the award for the Best Batsman whilst Hasaka De Silva from Head Office won the award for Best Bowler. Man of the Series was awarded Rasika Sampath from Head Office.

People’s Bank Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar, members of corporate management and many staff members gathered to cheer on their teams and enjoy a day of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
