HNB in 6-2 win over Seylan

Hatton National Bank defeated Seylan Bank in their MHA ‘A’ division league hockey fixture at the CH and FC ground recently. At half time HNB were in the lead with two goals to nil.

In the 25th minute of play, T. Perera opened to scoring for HNB and three minutes later, left extreme S. Vanderlan made it 2-0.



After the turn around, Eranga netted for Seylan Bank in the 34th minute but six minutes later Vanderlan scored his second goal. (3-1).

In the 42nd minute, Seylan Bank’s center forward got his stick onto the ball to give his side their second goal (3-2). HNB’s center Charith Senanayke got his act working to add two goal in the 46th and 50th minutes and two minutes later right inside M.M. Ghazali made it 6-2 in favour of Hatton National Bank.

The game was controlled by Ashok Peiris and M. Naushad, while T.D.K.S. Perera was the third umpire.
