Holyfield to fight Williams next month

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield will fight Sherman Williams next month at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, the resort said on Thursday.

“Redemption in America: The Journey Back Begins Now” on Jan 22 will feature six professional bouts including the Holyfield-Williams matchup, the resort said on its website (www.greenbrier.com).

Holyfield, 48, won the world heavyweight championship four times and has promised to chase the title again despite his age.

He is scheduled to meet 45-year-old Brian Nielsen of Denmark in Copenhagen on March 5.
