HSBC will host its traditional HSBC 5-Club Stableford Golf Tournament at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) on 13 and 15 September 2013. The popular tournament sponsored by HSBC for the nineteenth year will be open to HSBC’s valued customers and to all members of the Men’s and Ladies sections of the Royal Colombo Golf Club with a valid handicap.
The tournament for the Ladies’ and Seniors’ categories will tee off at 12:00 noon on Friday, 13 September, while the Men’s categories (A, B & C) will begin on Sunday, 15 September, with a shot-gun start at 7:15a.m. The Men’s tournament consist of four categories namely Group A Handicap 0-9, Group B Handicap 10-18, Group C Handicap 19-28 and Group D Seniors, while the Handicap limit for the Ladies category will be up to 36.
The tournament will conclude with a special awards ceremony to be held on Sunday, 15 September at the RCGC premises, followed by fellowship. Special prizes will be awarded for the longest drive on the 8th hole, Closest to the Pin on the 9th and Best Score on the Par 3 Holes.
The first Stableford Golf Tournament sponsored by HSBC with a shot-gun start was held in 1994 and later changed to a five-club tournament in 1998. It is now the most popular event looked forward to by HSBC customers and golf enthusiasts.

To be held on 28 September 2013, at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, this exclusive tournament for HSBC Premier customers, will see many enthusiastic golfers participating. The top two overall category winners at the tournament will have the opportunity to watch the HSBC Champions Tournament in Shanghai from 31 October to 3 November 2013, with an all-expenses paid trip to China.
