HSBC Trade Cricket Sixes 2012

The Annual HSBC Trade Cricket Sixes was held at the Colombo Gymkhana Club recently. The event which was held for the fifth consecutive year and organised by HSBC Global Trade and Receivable Finance, saw thirty six of its top corporate customers participating.

Courtaulds Clothing claimed the title of Trade Cricket Sixes 2012 Champions, beating Unichela by just 6 runs in the finals. Akbar Brothers and Coats Thread who competed for the 3rd place title, saw Akbar Brothers emerge the Plate Champions.

“HSBC Trade Cricket Sixes has been a much anticipated event that is enjoyed by both our customers and staff.

Cricket is a popular sport among many of our corporate clients and it was encouraging to see so many participants come together in a friendly six a side cricket encounter.

The day also provided many networking opportunities and resulted in yet another successful event,” stated Rozanne De Almeida Head of Global Trade and Receivable Finance.

Awards were presented to the winners by Nick Nicolaou CEO HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives, David Morton Regional Head of Corporate Banking, Chamira Wijetilleke Head of Corporate Banking and Rozanne De Almeida Head of Global Trade and Receivable Finance.
