ICC T20 official sponsor Hyundai gifts fleet of 60 vehicles

The hype and tension of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup is exponentially increasing as we edge days closer to the beginning of the most exciting and fastest brand of cricket today. It is sure to be a high adrenaline sporting event that will bring millions of viewers from around the world to cheer and support their national side.

Hyundai Motor Company’s global alignment with the ICC is to be further enhanced by the involvement of Hyundai Lanka Pvt Ltd. The ICC T20 World Cup 2012 is to be held in Sri Lanka from 18 September to 7 October. Hyundai Chairman Manilal Fernando welcomed ICC Executive members and fans to the ceremony sponsored by Hyundai at the Premadasa Stadium on 12 September. “This memorable platform is going to be a historic event for Sri Lanka. A big thank you to all of the ICC organising committee as well as our Hyundai partners that helped make this happen. To the millions of fans who will be watching, be prepared for nail biting tournament. ”

This will be the fourth ICC World T20 Competition and will be the first T20 tournament to be held in an Asian country. The 12 team line-up is going to be a fight to the death to see who will be crowned the world T20 Cricket champions. The association sees Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea and Hyundai Lanka Pvt Ltd providing a total fleet of 60 vehicles, including the multi-award winning Sonata, Tucson and the local favourite Sante-Fe. The vehicles proudly bear unique tournament insignia and will be used to transport ICC officials, team managers and Sri Lankan cricket officials.
