Inaugural Wesley vs. S. Thomas’ Swimming Championship tomorrow

The inaugural Wesley-S. Thomas’ Swimming Championship 2016 will be held on 13 August from 2.00 p.m. onwards at the Wesley College swimming pool complex at Karlsruhe Gardens, Borella. 

All parents, students, Old Wesleyites and well-wishers are invited to be present at this event.

Most outstanding swimmers of the meet will receive championship and runners-up trophies in each age group. Challenge shields will be awarded to winners of each age group category and the ‘Wesley College Class of 93’ Challenge Shield will be awarded to the winning school.

This event will be graced by an eminent old boy of Wesley Mahendra Dissanayake and Mrs. Dissanayake as the Chief Guest of the event. The Batch of ’93 has decided to organise and sponsor the inaugural Wesley-S. Thomas’ Swimming Championship. This championship will be held annually on a home-and-away basis.

Wesley and S. Thomas’ colleges are known to have produced well-rounded countrymen to the nation. The products of the two colleges have excelled in all spheres such as education and other extracurricular activities. Both colleges have excelled in many sporting activities producing many national sportsmen in cricket, rugby and hockey, etc. 

The Batch of ‘93 will be ably assisted by the school’s teacher, parents and prefects.
