India emerges victorious in the Red Bull Campus Cricket Asia Finals

In a game where emotions were running high India held their nerve to emerge victorious. Having won the toss, India elected to bat and got off to a tumultuous start and were reduced to 71 for six. Pakistan bowled a tight line and length and managed to restrict the Indians to 149.



The Man of the Series and Best Batsmen Sidhesh Lad, failed with the bat, falling for a mere 14 runs. India’s top scorer was Neil Narvekar with his man of the match performance of 37 off 42 balls and was the second best bowler for India.

His figures were two wickets for 34 runs in his allocated three overs. Pakistan skipper Ali Meher was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan taking three wickets for 27 runs.

Pakistan too started off in similar fashion losing wickets at regular intervals. Usman Amir kept the Pakistan hopes alive with a splendid 45 runs and remained unbeaten.

Pakistan finally finished off their quota of overs on 139 for the loss of nine wickets falling short by 11 runs.

Pratik Manjrekar, once again, bowled India to victory taking three wickets for 29 runs.

A series that started off with two back to back games being washed out and being determined by bowl outs ended off in an exciting fashion.

 Arch rivals met head to head in the much anticipated finals that saw a close game.
