Inter ZRN Rugby Championship today

The annual ‘Inter ZRN Rugby Championship 2012’ organised by Zahira Old Boys’ Rugby Association – ZOBRA will be held on Saturday, 9 June from 1.30p.m. onwards Zahira College ground.

This is a tournament which culminates with the three month Rugby coaching session for students of grade 3 and 4 at Zahira College. Initiated in 2010 with the objective of grooming skilled rugby players for the future by ZOBRA, the program has been successful in its objective and has been a launching pad in unleashing rugby talents of the kids.

The tournament will include matches between the teams namely Cheetahs, Jaguars, Panthers and Pumas vying for cup, plate, shield and bowl championship. It will be held under a carnival atmosphere with fun filled activities such as face painting, raffle draws and fireworks.

A distinguished old boy, former president of Group of Sixties and the current chairman of Rugby Committee, Riza Abdeen will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

The organising committee cordially invites all past rugby players, old boys’, parents and well wishers to witness the event.
