Isipathana registered a first innings win against Zahira College Maradana in their Under 19 Division One cricket encounter played at the BRC grounds.
Batting first, Isipathana scored 270 runs in 92 overs. In-form batsman Salinda Ushan, who scored a ton against St. Servatius College at Sooriyawewa, scored 59 runs while Vishat de Silva scored 72. Shehan Weerasinghe captured five wickets. Yomesh Ranasinghe 3/32, Shenal Deelaka 2/17 and Pramod Maduwantha 2/17 restricted Zahira to a first innings score of 125, which Arshad Immudeen contributed 52 runs to.
Following on, Zahira were 95/4 at the close of play. Shehan Weerasinghe topped the scorecard with 63 runs.
