JAT sponsors Bangladesh-Sri Lanka cricket series 2017 as Associate Sponsor

JAT Holdings continue its commitment to the upliftment of sport in the region by sponsoring the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka cricket series 2017 as an Associate Sponsor.

The Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Cricket Series 2017, commenced on 7 March with the First Test played in Galle and the Second at the P. Sara Oval Stadium.

The 1st and 2nd ODI matches were at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium on 25 March and 28 March respectively while the 3rd ODI was at SSC on 1 April. The first of the final T20 matches was held at the R. Premadasa Stadium on 4 April, to be followed by the second on 6 April. 

JAT Holdings, one of Sri Lanka’s premier organisations in the furnishing and finishing industry with an impressive portfolio of products, has in the past, sponsored a plethora of sporting events such as cricket, rugby, golf, tennis, hockey and racing, thereby demonstrating its steadfastness and enthusiasm in supporting sporting events at both local and international levels.

Earlier this year JAT reiterated its firm commitment to the support and upliftment of sport in Sri Lanka by being the sole sponsor of the tennis coaching camp under the purview of celebrity coach, Nick Bollettieri. Considered among the “most sought after of all coaches”, Nick Bollettieri is an American trainer who has produced 10 of the world’s most successful tennis players, all with World No 1 rankings – namely Andre Agassi, Boris Becker, Maria Sharapova, Venus and Serena Williams, Martina Hingis, Jim Courier, and Kei Nishikori to name just a few.

In 2016 JAT Holdings made its presence felt through the myriad sponsorships of all the main sports. 

Cricket has been in the forefront in the mainstream sponsorships of JAT with the ‘JAT Paints Cup’ and the Sri Lanka vs. Australia Test matches which were held in July last year. 

The brand name JAT was showcased throughout the international arena through the ground branding which was carried out at a variety of international cricket tournaments such as the Masters Champions League Cricket in Dubai and Sharjah, India vs. Sri Lanka T20 Cricket Series, and Asia Cricket Cup 2016. 

JAT has gained an enviable reputation for its keen interest in promulgating all types of sports. Moreover, JAT’s support is extended not only to the professional fields of sport but also to its development from grassroot level such as the sponsorships offered at rudimentary levels of school cricket as well. The support thus given has enabled the company to put Sri Lankan enterprise and industry on the map of the world.
