Defending League and Clifford Cup champions, Kandy SC so far looked the best outfit to lift the League trophy once more. The lads from Kandy have crossed half a century plus in all their three games in tandem, the last one being a special display playing the Cops at Police Park who had some big names under their belt. Kandy SC led by Fazil Marija with some outstanding three quarter line in the caliber of Gayan Weeraratne, Richard Dgarmapala, Lavanga Perera, Danushka Dayan and Arshard Jamaldeen were star players outstanding this season for the champion club.

Kandy will be playing their third home game this season against the Army outfit on 13 December. Though Army has improved Kandy should have things their own way and pile a comfortable win next Sunday in front of a packed house at Nittawela. The encounter will be officiated by Priyantha Gunaratne.

Week four will kick off with the game between the Sailors and the inexperienced CH & FC at the Race Course rugby grounds on 11 December. CH & FC so far lost both to Police and Kandy by over half a century plus another 45/7 to CR & FC. While the Sailors having a mixed season beating Air Force and lost to Army and Havies. According to form Navy SC should have things their way with a comfortable win. This encounter will be controlled by new kid on the block Rohan Fernando who will have his second big game.

Police will host CR & FC on 12 December at the Police Park. Police winning one and losing two this season will be looking for a win here. They have some very talented players in their rank. Players like Bilal Hassen, Mohamed Sheriff, Reza Mubarak could be a threat to any sides. While the Longdon place club too with some young talent, Kanchana Ramanayake, Shashan Mohamed, Ashan De Costa and skipper Ishan Noor can tear any team. Coached by one of the best reader of the game and being top of things Imthisam Marrikar too will be looking for less errors from his young lads. One of the experienced and respected referee Dinka Peiris will handle the whistle.

The last game of week four will see Havies hosting the Air Force outfit under lights at the Havelock Park. This game will be a one sided affair with the Park Club favored to pull it off without any difficulty plus continue their unbeaten run towards the Kandy game. Aruna Rankothge will handle this game.
