Kandy Sports Club will be contracting its fourth overseas player, Kenyan Sevens specialist Oscar Ouma, who will be in Kandy in two days’ time.
Oscar, who is 25 years old, could play as a forward, flanker or winger, having vast experience in the shorter version of the game for the Kenyan outfit, which is in the top 15 in the world at present.
Oscar played for Nakuru Rugby Football Club after attending Kijabe High School. The Nakuru RFC player started rugby at Kijabe High School. He then played for the Kenya Under 20 team at the 2009 IRB (International Rugby Board) Junior World Cup before joining Nakuru’s senior team.
He has been a regular member of the IRB Sevens team of Kenya for a long time. Oscar will be in Kandy in time for the Army SC game which will be on 9 November at Race Course Grounds.
