Prefects welcomes the chief guest Jezima Ismail and Nazeera Hassanar By Ruzaik Farook Khairiya Muslim Girls College Colombo organised the “Sports Fiesta” netball tournament at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium recently. Azira Esufally was present as the Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony and former Principal of Muslim Ladies College and former Chancellor South Eastern University Jezima Ismail was present as the Chief Guest at the prize giving ceremony. Fathima Muslim Ladies College, Sir Razik Fareed Maha Vidyalaya, Al Hidaya Maha Vidyalaya, Darus Salam Maha Vidyalaya, Khairiya Muslim Girls College and Al Iqbal Balika Maha Vidyalaya participated in the tournament. Khairiya Muslim Girls College emerged champions at the tournament while Fathima Muslim Ladies College were runners up and Al Hidaya Maha Vidyalaya were second runners up at the event. Captain of the Khairiya Muslim Girls College team Fathima Sabra Sabry received the championship trophy from Jezima Ismail. Principal of the Khairiya Muslim Girls College Nazeera Hassanar was also present.
