Both Kingswood and Isipathana will meet in the Milo Under-18 rugby competition on 15 September at the CR&FC grounds. This will be an emotional final game for Isipathana Head Coach Nilfer Ibrahim as he will be moving to coach the Joes outfit next season. The final game is against his school where he learnt his basics.
Kingswood ended Zahirians’ winning streak with a 17-5 win while the lads from Havelock Town continued their winning form when they beat the Katugastota Antonians 8-0 in the other semi-final encounter.
Maliyadeva received a walkover as Carey College didn’t turn up for the Shield semifinal while Moratuwa MMV defeated Richmond College 17-14 to set up a final against Maliyadeva in the shield segment.
Trinity beat Ananda 17-0 in the Bowl semifinal while their hometown rivals Vidyartha beat C.W.W. Kannangara Vidyalaya 32-5 in the second semifinal.
