Wesley College and Kingswood College will lock horns in the 32nd edition of the L E Blaze Trophy rugby encounter which will be played at the Bogambara Stadium today (22 April).

The series started in 1986 and Kingswood is the first school to start playing rugby football in Sri Lanka. Wesley are led by Denister Lomu with the Randles Hill outfit leader will be Heshan Jansen.

Wesley are the current holders of the trophy improving this season and ending on number 2 behind Trinity in their group but the Kingswoodians who opted to play in the lower division are unbeaten so far this season.

Wesley will heavily depend on players such as Avishka Lee and Shashika Ashan to have a good game in order to retain the cup once more in Colombo, while the Randles Hill school will depend on Lakshitha Peiris and Weligampola to take them through and to remain unbeaten this season.

Wesley are coached by Paul Toia assisted by Dulanjana Wijesinghe and Mohamed Sheriff. The Randles Hill school is looked after by Dinesh Gamage.

Referee Aruna Shantha.
