Ladies’ College emerge as all-island national school table tennis champs

The Ladies’ College under-15 table tennis team led by Anoushka DeSilva along with Manesha Siriwardene, Jithara Warnakulasuriya and Ayla Chitty became champions at the All-island National School Games Table Tennis tournament held on 1 and 2 October at the S. Thomas’ College indoor stadium.

The tournament was conducted by the Education Department. Ladies’ College beat Dharmasoka College in the semifinals 3-1 and Maliyadeva College in the finals 3-0. This winning team was coached by former national coach and champion N.H. Perera and the Teacher in Charge was Pathmi Ratnayake.
